Six Lions Named to CSC Academic All-District Soccer Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. – A combined six Penn State Altoona men's and women's soccer student-athletes were recognized for their academics by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday, when the CSC released its 2025 NCAA Division III Academic All-District teams in the sport.

To be eligible for a spot on an Academic All-District team, student-athletes must meet certain academic and athletic requirements. Academically, student-athletes must be at least sophomores while holding cumulative grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher. Athletically, players must be starters or key reserves who have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games, or started two thirds of the games. Nominators could submit up to six qualified student-athletes per team.

One Penn State Altoona men's soccer student-athlete and five women's soccer student-athletes were named to the CSC's NCAA Division III Academic All-District teams.

Men's Soccer

-sophomore midfielder Matias Harte (State College, PA/State College); majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Women's Soccer:

-sophomore defender Madeline Boser (Beaver, PA/Beaver); majoring in Environmental Studies

-sophomore midfielder Taylor Frederick (Mifflinburg, PA/Mifflinburg); majoring in Nursing

-sophomore defender/midfielder Bridget Martin (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central); majoring in Nursing

-sophomore defender Kylei Martin (Mifflinburg, PA/Mifflinburg); majoring in Psychology

-sophomore defender/midfielder Grace Turner (Stevensville, MD/Kent Island); majoring in Environmental Studies
