Fall Sport Athletes Earn Spots on AMCC Sportsmanship Team

LATROBE, Pa. – Each of Penn State Altoona's seven fall sports was represented on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Donna Ledwin Fall All-Sportsmanship Team, which was announced on Thursday morning.

All teams that compete for an AMCC championship select one member from each of their rosters who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be included on the All-Sportsmanship team. These individuals are selected by a vote of their teammates.

The student-athlete selected by each team must consistently demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct, respect, and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor. Such sportsmanship shall be evident toward teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and fans. The player also must serve as a positive representative of school spirit when a spectator at other teams' sporting events.

The seven Penn State Altoona fall sport student-athletes voted to the AMCC All-Sportsmanship team by their teammates are:

Men's Cross Country: freshman Evan Wagenmann (Malvern, PA/Great Valley)

Women's Cross Country: senior Victoria Scutti (Bellefonte, PA/State College)

Men's Golf: sophomore Nicholas Helsley (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle)

Men's Soccer: sophomore Niko Ferrales (Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ/Northern Regional Highlands)

Women's Soccer: sophomore Grace Turner (Stevensville, MD/Kent Island)

Women's Tennis: sophomore Abigail Morgan (Orrville, OH/Orrville)

Women's Volleyball: senior Jadeyn Price (Altoona, PA/Altoona)
