Weather Forces Schedule Adjustments to Spring Sports
ALTOONA, Pa. – A combination of inclement weather and wet field conditions has forced several Penn State Altoona teams to adjust their schedules this week.
Baseball:
The Lions' home doubleheader with non-conference opponent Waynesburg University, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, was postponed due to snow. The games were rescheduled to Thursday, March 19, starting at 1 p.m., and the location was moved to Waynesburg in light of field conditions in Altoona.
Additionally, the location for Penn State Altoona's home doubleheader with AMCC opponent Penn State Behrend this Saturday, March 21, has been changed. The games will now be played at Claysburg-Kimmel High School in Claysburg, Pa., due to anticipated wet field conditions. Game one will start at 1 p.m.
Men's Tennis:
Penn State Altoona men's tennis had its Tuesday, March 17, road match at non-conference opponent Waynesburg postponed due to winter weather. The match has been rescheduled to Monday, March 30 and will begin at 7 p.m.
Women's Tennis:
Women's tennis' road match at non-conference opponent Juniata College, which was scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, has been postponed due to inclement weather. A makeup date for that match has not yet been determined.
