2000-01 & 2001-02 Women's Basketball Teams

The 2000-01 and 2001-02 Women's Basketball teams, coached by John Nardozza, went back-to-back as AMCC Champions. The teams combined for a record of 20-4 in two seasons of AMCC play and a 5-0 mark in the postseason. In the 2001 AMCC Championship game, Penn State Altoona went on the road to Erie Hall and defeated Penn State Behrend, 79-71, on their home floor. Defending at home in 2002, the Lions topped Pitt-Greensburg 73-64 in the Adler Gymnasium to secure the back-to-back titles. Kim Ebersole, Jillian Klinar, Misty Meredith, Heather Mielnik, and Kristen Toomey were AMCC All-Conference performers during the two-year run. Nardozza would go on to coach through the 2004-05 season, later returning as an assistant coach under Casey Wilt.
