Helsley Named AMCC Men's Golfer of the Week
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y - Penn State Altoona sophomore Nicholas Helsley (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) was chosen as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Men's Golfer of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career on Wednesday.
Helsley was the Lions' top finisher in the three-day NCAA Division III Fall Preview this past Sunday through Tuesday at Mission Resort & Club in Florida. He would card scores of 72, 72, and 76 and a total stroke count of 220. This score would tie him for 35th place out of 120 individual golfers.
The Penn State Altoona men's golf team returns to action this Sunday, September 28, at The Northeast Elite Tournament at the Williamsport Country Club.
