Men’s Swimming Drops Spring Dual Meet at Behrend

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's swimming team returned to the pool on Saturday afternoon, facing Penn State Behrend at the Junker Center in the Lions' only meet of the spring season and the team's first intercollegiate competition since last February.

Penn State Altoona fell 175-65 to Behrend in the meet.

Isaac Swanson (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) recorded both of the Lions' first place finishes on the day while also earning one second place. In the 50 Yard Freestyle, Swanson finished in 22.25, edging the second place finisher by 0.15 seconds to take first place. He posted another close win in the 500 Yard Freestyle, in which he clocked in at 5:02.58 to beat the second place swimmer by 0.36 seconds.

Swanson's runner-up finish came in the 200 Yard Freestyle, where he recorded a time of 1:47.44.

Noah Jordan (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) secured a pair of second place finishes for Penn State Altoona. In the 50 Yard Breaststroke, he was the runner-up with a time of 29.20, and in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, he took second place with a time of 1:07.51.

Tomasz Zukowski (Slatington, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) notched a second place finish in the 50 Yard Butterfly, in which he compiled a time of 26.89.
