Men’s Tennis Announces 2026-27 Schedule
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team became the next program to unveil the schedule for its upcoming season, as the Lions revealed their 2026-27 slate of matches on Tuesday.
Penn State Altoona will compete in 14 matches this season, including five home dates and the team's eight Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matches. The Lions' season will again be split between the fall and spring semesters, with the spring semester holding the main portion of the schedule.
Penn State Altoona starts its schedule with three non-conference road matches during the month of September, as the Lions will travel to face Penn College on Friday, Sept. 18, at 4:30 p.m., Thiel College on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 4:30 p.m., and Lycoming College on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 3:30 p.m.
Penn State Altoona concludes the fall portion of its season with two more matches in October. On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Lions will hit the road again to face non-conference foe Geneva College at 1 p.m. before the team's home opener and first AMCC match of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. against nearby rival Mount Aloysius College. (Note: the road match at Mount Aloysius has not yet been scheduled and will be added to the spring schedule whenever it is determined.)
The Lions return to action on Saturday, Feb. 27, with a road doubleheader at AMCC opponent Carlow University (start time to-be-announced).
The team's schedule continues with four more matches in March, three of which are at home. On Monday, Mar. 1, at 4 p.m., the Lions host non-conference opponent Juniata College before traveling to Erie to play AMCC opponent Penn State Behrend on Saturday, March 20 (start time to-be-announced). Penn State Altoona returns to host AMCC foe Pitt-Greensburg on Friday, March 26, at 4 p.m. and non-conference opponent Waynesburg University on Monday, Mar. 29, at 4 p.m.
The Lions' regular season wraps up in April with two more AMCC matches, as the team plays Penn State Behrend at home on Saturday, Apr. 3, at 1 p.m. and travels to face Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday, Apr. 10 (start time to-be-announced).
The AMCC postseason tournament dates are Saturday, Apr. 17, and Sunday, Apr. 18.
