What made you want to attend Penn State Altoona?
I choose to Penn State Altoona because of the business program they have to offer.
How did you get your start in your sport?
The reason I started golfing is because of my pap. My pap is the one who inspired me to start golfing. I played basketball throughout grade school and high school, but I decided to golf my senior year, and it was something that I really enjoyed doing. I did not have much background with golf when I first started, but my pap would take me to the driving range and help me get better!
What are some of your favorite memories from your time as a Penn State Altoona student-athlete so far?
My favorite memories are meeting new people and building new friendships with the golf team especially at away tournaments.
Do you have any mentors or role models at Penn State Altoona? If so, how have they helped you improve as a person?
My golf coach, Tom Koehle has been a great mentor throughout my time at Penn State Altoona. He is always pushing me to do my best, and always has something positive to say even when my day isn't going the greatest or when I'm having a rough day on the golf course. He always sees the best in all his players and is always cheering us on!
Outside of sports, what do you hope to accomplish during your time at Penn State Altoona?
My plan is to get a bachelor's degree in business focusing on management and marketing.
What career role would you like to have in the future? How is Penn State Altoona helping you reach that goal?
In the future I would like to work for a corporation like Sheetz in their business area. Penn State Altoona is helping me reach this goal by taking classes that revolving around my career and offering internships through Sheetz, to reach my goal when I graduate.
What advice would you give to a freshman student-athlete?
Always be open to new experiences and to get involved with clubs or organizations on campus. Meet new people and build connections with others!
