Women's Golf Wraps Up Camp Lejeune Tournament
JAKCKSONVILLE, N.C - The Penn State Altoona women's golf team finished competing in the three-day Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Golf Championship, held at Paradise Point Golf Course.
Penn State Altoona was represented by three golfers who competed as individuals in the tournament.
Oglethorpe University finished the tournament on top of the leaderboard after having a round three score of 306 on the par 71 course for a total score of 913, while Virginia Wesleyan University finished runners up in the tournament after shooting 318 on Sunday for a total score of 946.
Alexis Peacock (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) was the Lions' top finisher, carding a Sunday score of 96 for a three-round total of 279 to place 47th.
Clarissa Long (Altoona, PA/Altoona) fired 109 on Sunday for a three-day total of 317 to place 54th. Alyssa Franks (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) carded a 105 on Sunday and finishing with a three-day total of 321 to place 55th.
Penn State Altoona women's golf will tee off for the final time in the 2025-26 season on Monday, April 12, as they host the Penn State Altoona Spring Invitiational at Sinking Valley Country Club. Tee off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
