Women's Golf Closes Out 2025-26 Season at Home
ALTOONA, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona women's golf team competed in their final tournament of the 2025-26 season, when the Lions hosted the Penn State Altoona Spring Invitational at the Sinking Valley Country Club.
Penn State Altoona shot 464 as a team on the par 72 course, placing second in the one-day tournament.
Juniata placed first with a score of 391.
Alexis Peacock (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) had the Lions' low score of the round, shooting 98, 26-over-par, to place fourth out of 12 individual golfers.
Alyssa Franks (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) placed ninth after carding a 110. Clarissa Long (Altoona, PA/Altoona) shot 121 to place eleventh. Taylor Bezdek (Great Falls, VA/Dominion) carded 135 to place 12th.
Penn State Altoona women's golf competed in 10 events and a total of 17 rounds during the 2025-26 season. The team's 2026-27 schedule will be announced this summer.
