Women's Tennis Tops Penn College in Home Finale
ALTOONA, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona women's tennis team competed in their final home match of the 2025-26 season on Friday afternoon, defeating non-conference opponent Penn College 6-1 at the Adler Tennis Courts.
Penn State Altoona (16-4) won two out of three in doubles to secure the first point of the match before defeating Penn College (6-10) in five of six singles matches for the five-point match victory.
In the No. 1 doubles match, the duo of Caitlin Blessel (Saint Marys, PA/Saint Marys)/Abigail Morgan (Orrville, OH/Orrville) won 6-1 for their second win together. Alejandra Segura (San Juan, PR/Colegio Mater Salvatoris)/Mara Del Valle (Colombia/Walt Whitman) won by forfeit in No. 3 doubles.
Penn State Altoona kept the wins coming in singles to wrap up the five-point victory. Lexi Colaianni (Pittsburgh, PA/Kiski Area) won 6-0, 6-4 in No. 2 singles for her 14th victory of the season. In the No. 3 slot, Morgan picked up her 15th win of the season after defeating her opponent 6-2, 6-1. Daniel Fulton (Milford, DE/Milford) won 6-1, 6-4 in the No. 4 spot for their 12th victory. In the No. 5 match, Dahlia Dokmenler picked up her second victory of the season following her 6-0, 6-1 win. Segura won by forfeit in No. 6 singles.
Penn State Altoona women's tennis will compete in their final match of the 2025-26 season tomorrow, Saturday, April 18, as they travel to take on McDaniel at 1 p.m.
