Men’s and Women’s Cross Country 2025 Schedule Announced

ALTOONA, Pa. – The recently reinstated Penn State Altoona men's and women's cross country program announced its 2025 season schedule on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lions will return to action this fall for the first time since 2015, competing in five regular season meets ahead of postseason action.

Penn State Altoona opens its 2025 schedule at B&D Acres in Tyrone, Pa., on Saturday, August 30, competing in Saint Francis University's Father Bede Invitational. After that, the Lions travel to Erie for Penn State Behrend's Sunset Run on Friday, September 12. The squad wraps up September at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa., where the Lions will race in the Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational.

As the calendar moves forward, Penn State Altoona will take part in the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational on Saturday, October 11, at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. The Lions' regular season concludes in Gettysburg on Saturday, October 18, when the team will run in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational, hosted by Gettysburg College.

After that, Penn State Altoona runs the conference meet on Saturday, November 1, as the Lions will race for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship in Erie. Additional postseason dates are set for Saturday, November 15, when the Mid-Atlantic Region Championships will be held in Newville, as well as Saturday, November 22, when the NCAA Division III Championships take place in Spartanburg, S.C.
