Scutti Scores All-Conference Honors

LATROBE, Pa. – Penn State Altoona women's cross country senior Victoria Scutti (Bellefonte, PA/State College) was formally recognized for her showing in last Saturday's conference championship meet, as she earned All-Conference status from the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference on Wednesday.

Scutti picked up the All-AMCC recognition by virtue of her performance in the conference championship 6K on Saturday, November 1, in Erie, during which she finished in second place out of 44 runners with a time of 26:10.2.

During the season, Scutti was twice named the AMCC Women's Runner of the Week, receiving the award on both October 13 and October 20. The senior was Penn State Altoona's top finisher in four different races this fall, including last weekend's AMCC Championships. She also held the fastest 5K and 6K times of any AMCC women's runner this season, as her time of 18:56.3 in the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational 5K and her time of 23:43.8 in the Gettysburg College Invitational 6K were both best in the league.

Penn State Altoona women's cross country resumes its schedule on Saturday, November 15 in the Mid-Atlantic Region Championships.
