2024-25: Played in 16 matches during his sophomore campaign with Penn State Altoona men’s tennis…was voted to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference team for No. 3 doubles…was 6-4 overall in doubles matches, including going 3-2 in the AMCC…was 1-1 at No. 2 doubles and 5-3 at No. 3…in singles play, was 11-5 overall and 5-1 in the AMCC…went 0-1 at No. 2 singles, 2-0 at No. 3, and 9-4 in the No. 4 position.

2023-24: Competed in all 16 of the Lions’ matches in his freshman campaign with the Penn State Altoona men’s tennis program…was voted to the second team of the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference squad at No. 6 singles…made nine appearances in No. 6 singles matches, going 5-4 overall and 4-1 within the AMCC…also posted a 5-2 record in No. 5 singles matches, including one AMCC victory…competed in one doubles match at the No. 1 position…earned spots on the Academic All-Conference teams for both the AMCC and Atlantic East Conference.

High School: Four-year letter winner in tennis...made the WPIAL tournament as a junior...four-year honor roll student...was the lead in his high school musical...class president...senior committee member.

Personal: Son of Scott and Angel Newell...participates in THON at Penn State Altoona...majoring in Business.
